Quilters Meet & Greet
I do not consider myself a quilter - even though I've made a few quilts. I've been sewing for many years, but it's only in recent years that I've added quilting to my repertoire. So I was pleasantly surprised when Benita invited me to the 2019 Online Quilters Meet and Greet, with a Great Grand Prize - link to enter at end of post. In my handbag I carry a both a wallet and a coin purse. The small wallet is for notes and credit cards, whilst the coin purse separately houses coins, USB drive and a Swiss knife set with all sorts of gadgets such as scissors and a nail file. Having both a wallet and coin purse means I can easily carry one or the other, or both.

Showcasing ~ Felt Embroidered Scissors Cover ~ Tutorial
I don't know about you, but I have many pairs of scissors, strictly for sewing. The cut anything else scissors live on the other side of the room to my sewing scissors. However, I don't have any covers specifically for scissors, to keep the sharp points from damaging other items when I'm out and about. I must rectify this!

Darning Holes in Jeans
Here are the jeans I referred to last week when talking about the return of my sewing mojo - three pairs of men's jeans, all with holes in the crotch area. I honestly feel we should all start to learn how to repair clothes like our grandparents or great grandparents. They put much less strain on our planet, using far less resources per person than we do now-a-days.

Winter Down Under ~ A Tour of Our Garden
Its officially Winter in Australia. We've had a few cold (for us) days, but the last week has seen balmy temperatures in the low 20ºCs (68ºF) in the middle of the day - getting down to 3ºC (37ºF) at night.
