Arm Protectors...

Protect your arms while working in the garden ~ Threading My Way

Mr TMW asked if I would make him something to protect his arms, while he's clearing lantana from our block of land. He wears a long sleeved shirt, but the lantana still causes cuts and scratches. Here's how I quickly made him some arm protectors. They took just 5 minutes.

Grocery Bag Holder...

I try not to use plastic bags when I go shopping, but somehow or another I still end up accumulating them. Hopefully by now, most of them are biodegradable. So, much as I might prefer to pretend I don't have any, I do and I needed a better way to store them. They were shoved inside another plastic bag.

Threading Your Way ~ Features ~ Gift Wrapping

As I'm trying to be organised this year (I can dream, can't I), this week's features are projects I love from the Gift Wrapping link party. They are all easy to make and inexpensive. Many of them are recycled projects, also.

Photo Shoot Backgrounds...

Choosing Backgrounds for a Photo Shoot - what NOT to do ~ Threading My Way

I know next to nothing about photography and taking great photos. Sometimes, I'm lucky and I can fluke a good shot, but it's definitely a hit and miss process.

Scrappy Fabric Basket Tutorial...

Today I'm going to show you how to make your own Scrappy Fabric Basket, using small pieces of fabric from your stash. Measuring 6.5" x 4.5" x 4" (16.5cm x 11.5cm x 10cm), this handy sized basket is sturdy enough to stand up by itself. Let's get started with the tutorial.

Shorts for Boys

Another two pairs of Mud Puddle Splashers made. They really are my go to PDF pattern for boys' shorts; such a quick and easy make. I've never timed myself sewing them, but they really don't take long.

Scary Sewing Stories...

Have you seen the Scary Sewing Stories over at Simple Simon and Co? If you'd like a laugh, have a read of this weekend's stories. They won't all make you laugh, however. Some are cringe worthy.

One of the stories may, or may not, be mine...

This week's features...

A far out quilt, added to the Quilting & Patchwork link party. This quilt has the 60s covered perfectly!!! I can't decide which parts I like the best... the cool hippie chick with her bell bottoms, the groovy combie van, or the outta sight love bug.

Holiday Memories Cushion...

Whenever my daughter and I holiday in South Australia, we spend some time visiting the Fleurieu Peninsula. Whatever the time of year, we love walking along the beautiful beaches. South Australia isn't just wineries, although we do like to visit those, too.
