Baby Gift...

This little set was a welcoming gift for a new little baby girl. Well, she's not quite so little now. She's already a couple of months old.

Quilt Seams ~ Pressing Open or to the Side...

When I made my first quilt, the tutorial I followed said to press the seams open, so I made the assumption that all quilters press their seams open. For my second quilt, I didn't follow a tutorial or pattern, so I again pressed the seams open.

Op Shop Finds...

A couple of weeks ago I visited a new to me Op Shop. In Australia we call them Op Shops, short for Opportunity shops ... you may know them as Thrift Stores or Charity Shops. I had been told they often had lots of fabric, but of course, it's all in the luck of the draw on the day you go. I was NOT disappointed.

Zippered Pouch...

Zippered Pouch... pattern from the book 'Pieces of Me' ~ Threading My Way

I wanted to give a present to a friend I've know for a long time and I don't think you can go past a zippered pouch. A girl can never have too many!!!

Adding Lace to a Pillowcase...

Believe it or not, I've just finished sewing a gift for Christmas this year and it's only February!!! I'm determined this year to avoid the last minute rush of organising gifts. I always make pillowcases for the little people in the family (and sometimes the big people), so this was an easy place to start.

I just love it when readers let me know they've used one of my tutorials. Whether it be an email, a message on Facebook or Twitter, a comment under a post, or a photo in the Threading My Way ~ Sewn by YOU Flickr group, I really do like to see the projects you have sewn.

Here are some fabulous projects that have been Sewn by YOU, using tutorials from Threading My Way...

Fabric Basket Tutorial... super quick and easy to make, these baskets can be used for both storage and gift giving.

Three Legged Dinosaur...

When Juliet sent an email asking for testers for her triceratops pattern, I replied straight away with an enthusiastic YES.  I loved the pattern and could picture a dinosaur quilt.

Refashioning...

In case you missed it, here's the post I wrote for the House of Estrela Refashion Month.

I was thrilled when Magda invited me to take part in this year's House of Estrela Refashion Month. Last July's month long series was jam packed with fabulous refashioning ideas, so of course I wanted to join in again this year.

Cowl Neck Sheer Top...

I've actually done some sewing for ME! Irene, from Serger Pepper, asked if I would test the Sheer Plaid Top for her. I need motivation to sew for myself, so this was perfect.

Sew Fresh QuiltsThere's a new QAL happening at Sew Fresh Quilts in February and March. Lorna is hosting the Oblongagonalong. What's an Oblongagonalong? Head on over to Sew Fresh Quilts to find out.

Making Personal Care Bags is the current sew-along to help others, over at Hopeful Threads. Kristy has changed the format this year, with projects running quarterly
instead of monthly.
