Showcasing ~ Emma Bag Made with Selvedges

After my last post showing you my selvedge fabric basket, I thought I'd show you a larger project made with selvedge fabric - a cross body handbag.

The Emma bag made from selvedge fabric. Sewn by Patchouli Moon Studio. Pattern by ChrisW Designs.

Daryl, from Patchouli Moon Studio, has sewn the Emma bag with the exterior made entirely from selvedges. The bag can be made with or without a flap, and has two internal pockets.

Thanks for the inspiration, Daryl!

Daryl's Selvedge was added to the Bags & Totes link party. You might like to check out the following Bag Tutorials also from the Bags & Totes linky...

  1. This is a very elegant bag. and i love the strap possibilities, [shorter /longer?] very well made.

  2. I loved the clever way the Emma bag used denim selvedges for that clean striped look and sturdy construction. The detailed steps made me want to try something similar with leftover fabric scraps. When I needed a reliable portable charger for weekend craft markets my first order arrived faulty and support was slow. Checking https://veho-tech.pissedconsumer.com/review.html showed common patterns others faced and helped me choose a better model with stronger feedback. The right choice now keeps my phone charged all day at markets without any issues.
