I don't know about you, but I have many pairs of scissors, strictly for sewing. The cut anything else scissors live on the other side of the room to my sewing scissors. However, I don't have any covers specifically for scissors, to keep the sharp points from damaging other items when I'm out and about. I must rectify this!

Darning Holes in Jeans
Here are the jeans I referred to last week when talking about the return of my sewing mojo - three pairs of men's jeans, all with holes in the crotch area. I honestly feel we should all start to learn how to repair clothes like our grandparents or great grandparents. They put much less strain on our planet, using far less resources per person than we do now-a-days.

Winter Down Under ~ A Tour of Our Garden
Its officially Winter in Australia. We've had a few cold (for us) days, but the last week has seen balmy temperatures in the low 20ºCs (68ºF) in the middle of the day - getting down to 3ºC (37ºF) at night. It will get colder than that, but nothing like the temperatures many of you experience in the Northern Hemisphere.

Showcasing ~ Choosing Colours & Fabrics for Quilts
There's a reason fabric companies sell bundles of pre-cut fabric. They're colour co-ordinated, and in most cases will work well in the same project. But what if you want to pick and choose fabrics yourself? This is where I come unstuck. I know what works, or doesn't, when I see the fabrics together. But pulling fabrics from my stash, or the fabric store, can result in frustration, as I don't know why some fabrics work and others don't. Read on to find the answers...
