However you celebrate the festive season, it's bound to involve delicious, yummy food, that you perhaps wouldn't eat on an everyday basis.
Using only basic food supplies you have in your house, create a fun Christmas party snack. Jill sets the challenge...
If you've been reading Threading My Way for any length of time, you'll know that cooking is not one of my favourite pastimes. Other members of the family prepare the food - I just eat it, and sometimes I do the clean up.
My daughter on the hand, makes a yummy gluten free lemon coconut slice. She knows I love it!
This Apricot and Coconut slice by Anne, from Domesblissity, looks delicious too.
And so does this Christmas Granola, also from Anne.

Are the Peter Rabbit tea cups yours? They are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOvernight Caramel French Toast has been a family tradition in my house for about 20 years. I prepare it and put it in the fridge on Christmas Eve, then whoever gets up first in the morning, puts it in the oven. We usually have it with a bowl of fruit salad and breakfast sausages. The recipe is here - http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/overnight-caramel-french-toast - I got it from a Taste of Home magazine years way back when the kids were little - it's so rich and sweet that we ONLY have it once a year!
ReplyDeleteThat lemon coconut slice looks so good! I'm off to get the recipe for that one!

ReplyDeleteThe Christmas Days of the DIY Challenge are really fun to make holiday treats! Let me share one of the jelly cups I prepared for the Fun Party Snacks challenge that was made with gelatin powder, and everyone loved it. It’s one of the easiest ways of making the holiday food spread interesting with colors without putting too much effort into it. It is definitely a very easy way to prepare delicious snacks which I would recommend to anyone who would like to impress their friends during an event!
