Showcasing ~ Sweet Treat Gift Bags Tutorial

It's all in the presentation! Today's showcased tutorial shows how to gift lollies in these adorable little bags.

Make a simple drawstring sweet treat bag. Tutorial by The Lost Apron.

Ana, from The Lost Apron, shows how to make Sweet Treat Gift Bags. They're easy to make, but oh, so effective. Forget what you know about sewing drawstring bags - Ana has deliberately left the edges unfinished. And you'll only need small scraps of fabric to make them. I just love the way they're finished off with a bow.

Ana added her Sweet Treat Gift Bags to the Gift Wrapping link party here at Threading My Way. She also added it to the 12 Days of Christmas DIY Challenges ~ Gift Wrapping from Fabric Scraps link party. You might like to check out the following new projects at the 12 Days of Christmas DIY Challenges ~ Gift Wrapping from Fabric Scraps linky...
  • Patchwork Gift Bag
  • Wine Bottle Gift Bag
  • Jeans Gift Bag

  • Selvedge Fabric Gift Bag

All our 12 Days of Christmas DIY Challenge link parties are open till Christmas, and they are posted on the blogs of all five ladies presenting the challenges and tutorials. That means more people will be able to see the projects you add.

  1. The mini candy stocking at the linky party is a brilliant idea - and adorable :D The Sweet Treat Bags are adorable too - they're a great way to use up those last bits and pieces of favourite fabrics :) Both of those designs, actually, could be personalized - theme or holiday prints for the mini stockings (and the shape wouldn't even have to be a stocking), and the sweet treats bag could be personalized with the recipient's initial, or with the applique being made from theme or holiday fabric - win/win :)
