Another two pairs of Mud Puddle Splashers made. They really are my go to PDF pattern for boys' shorts; such a quick and easy make. I've never timed myself sewing them, but they really don't take long.

I already have the PDF pattern printed, pieced and cut out in the size I need. This saves so much time. They're a perfect fit, comfortable and most importantly, Little Mister likes them.

Much as I like making these shorts, it's time I used some different patterns. Time to sort through my pattern stash and see what's there. I tend to forget the patterns I've purchased.

That's not many patterns, considering the number of girls' patterns I own. I think I might try the Going Coastal bermuda shorts next. Jenya, from While she was sleeping, has written some very positive reviews of Puperita patterns.

I haven't made shorts since my boys were little, which is 20+ years ago, lol. Now you have me thinking about them even though we're heading into winter :D At about 1/2 m fabric per pair, they'd be a great stashbuster for my always-growing collection of kids prints :D
ReplyDeleteCute shorts Pam we have definitely passed short wearing weather here now!
ReplyDeleteI have the Figgy pattern but haven't made it up yet. I should before my son grows out of it!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful sewing project that combines comfort, practicality, and creativity for kids' clothing. The step-by-step approach makes it easier for parents and sewing enthusiasts to create something both useful and stylish. I especially appreciate the attention to detail and the clear instructions throughout the post. Just as choosing the right outfit enhances appearance, selecting a hazel brown lens can add a natural and attractive touch to one's overall look. Thanks for sharing such an inspiring and helpful tutorial.
