I needed to cross something off my ever growing To Do list, yesterday, so, even though I wasn't feeling 100%, I whipped up three pairs of shorts using the Mud Puddle Splashers pattern, by Bonnie, from Fishsticks Designs.
First up, I used fabric from my stash. I bought this fabric on sale some time ago. I'm certain it was Christmas fabric, but I can't for the life of me see now how it has anything to do with Christmas.
The second pair of shorts, I made using fabric designed by my daughter, Tash, over at Little Ladybird. This pair is my favourite of the three. Aren't those little owls just so cute?
Now, don't look too closely at the third pair and remember I wasn't feeling 100%. I've teamed the denim with dinosaur fabric, also designed by Little Ladybird. When my daughter suggested this combination, I wasn't overly keen on the two fabrics together, but now that they're made, I think the fabrics are a great combination. The cuffs don't line up, as I cut them incorrectly. If you only look from the front, you can't notice, but side on it's VERY obvious. Oh well, they can be worn around the house and I'm sure the little one wearing them won't notice.
This is my third time using this great pattern and it definitely won't be the last. You can see previous shorts I've made using the Mud Puddle Splashers pattern here and here.
