Showcasing ~ How to Start Sewing Without a Knot ~ Tutorial

I'm so used to starting with a knot when I sew, but that's going to change from now on when I sew with double thread.  Today's showcased tutorial will show you how to start sewing without a knot - leaves the back of your work so neat and tidy.

How to start sewing without a knot - tutorial by Apple Green Cottage

Damjana, from Apple Green Cottage, shows how to start sewing without a knot. This gem of a tip is so simple, you'll wonder why you haven't been doing it all along. It's a perfect solution when sewing on buttons, or embroidering with more than one thread.

Damjana added her tutorial to the Sewing Tips & Techniques link party. You might like to check out the following new links at the Sewing Tips & Techniques linky...

  1. I always start my stitching with the looped through start, so now when I am stitching with an uneven number of threads I find it really awkward not to start that way :)
