30+ Girls' Dresses ~ FREE Tutorials & Patterns

Today I'm showcasing over 30 free girls' dress patterns and tutorials - pinafores, sundresses, jumpers, halter necks, maxis, high-low, ruffle, t-shirt, peasant, shirred, bubble and more. There are lots of different styles and designs, suitable for girls of all ages.

I've chosen all of these dresses from the Dresses for Girls link party here at Threading My Way. I've had a lovely time looking through the collection, choosing dresses that I think you'd like to see. Many are suitable right now for Spring/Summer in the Northern Hemisphere, whilst others are just right for our weather which is cooling down in Australia.

The dresses range in difficulty level - with some for those who are new to sewing, and others for sewists with more experience.

Many of the simpler dresses are suitable for charity sewing, too. See the guidelines from each organisation, as to which ones are best.

So many adorable girls' dresses!!! Head on over and visit these talented ladies. Tell them I sent you.

If you are looking for more inspiration, don't forget to check out the Girls' Dresses link party. With over 550 dresses, you won't be short of ideas. While you are there, add your own girls' dresses to the collection.

What's your favourite type of dress to sew? I think my all time favourite is the rainbow maxi dress I made. There was such a sense of satisfaction in designing and making it, and what's more, it's still being worn almost three years later. To top that off, I noticed the other day that someone had used the tutorial to make their own rainbow maxi dress - totally made my day!
