Crafty Cooks Apron Swap...

Last month I showed you the half apron I made for the Crafty Cooks Apron Swap. Today I received my apron, all the way from the U.S. My apron has spent 3 weeks, tightly packed into a little box. I know I should have ironed it first, but the light was fading and I wanted to take photos, as I know my partner has been waiting to hear it has arrived, safe and sound. I didn't even stop to put makeup on or change my outfit.

Look at the gorgeous double ruffle. My partner has stalked me well. I love the style of the apron, with the pockets and the ruffle. Yvette, you've hit the nail on the head with the fabric... blue is my favourite colour and I love the combination of the two fabrics.

During the swap, Yvette asked all the participants whether they'd like those cute heart buttons. I said I'd be happy with or without them, so she's included them in the package. I think I might save them for a little dress.

Also in the package is some gorgeous Chick Chick fabric by Robert Kaufman and three recipes. I'll have no excuses now. I'll have to help more with the cooking.

No, Mr TMW won't be wearing my new apron. His Star Wars apron is much more suitable for him. But we did take photos as a joke for a friend.

Funnily enough, tomorrow's post is all about aprons. I've made a second apron for Mr TMW.

Yvette, thanks again for my fabulous package!!!

... Pam  one happy swap partner

  6. Fantastic looking apron, love those cloth together.
just was thinking how with time we learn to accept more and more `combinations` of cloth , we would have sneered at in our younger years. You look great.

  7. HAHA you both look good in that apron, and yes, you should help with the cooking just enough to be able to use your apron! It was nice of your hubby to pose with it - I persuaded my hubby and DS1 to each pose in a little girl's tulip hat today - I think I better bake them a cake tomorrow with some rhubarb from the garden - just for being such good sports!
