Ten Dress Up Costume Tutorials...

A dress up box is an essential part of growing up. No matter how simple or elaborate the contents, they are a great way to foster creative thinking, to encourage imaginative play and to enable kids to have fun.

Today I am showcasing Ten Dress Up Costume Tutorials that have been added to the Pretend Dress Up Clothes link party here at Threading My Way...

Princess Dress ~ Tutorial by Amy, from A Home, Made

Snow White Dress ~ Tutorial by Alison, from Heavenly Handmades

A Tool Belt for Your Fix It Up Toddler ~ Tutorial by Rachel and Donna from Once Upon a Sewing Machine

Royal Princess Crown ~ Tutorial by Kristy, from Hopeful Threads

Princess Costume ~ Tutorial by Mira, from Sewing the Littleheart Collection

Rapunzel / Tangled Dress Up Costume ~ Tutorial by Alison, from Heavenly Handmades

Comfy Pirate Eye Patch ~ Tutorial by Kristy, from Hopeful Threads

Princess Crowns ~ Tutorial Jessica, from Cutesy Crafts

and lastly, one of my most popular posts...

Some of these costumes are very quick to make, while others are more complicated, but each would provide hours of enjoyment for children to role play with.

... both very quick and easy projects to make.

Annie, from Peaches and Bees, has modified the Alice in Wonderland Apron Tutorial, by adding ruffles to her apron...

For more ideas and inspiration, head on over to the Pretend Dress Up Clothes link party, where you will find 50+ Dress Up Costumes.

Have fun playing with your children as they develop their imaginations and enter the world of make believe...
