Bits and Pieces...

Diya, over at The Hobby Harbour has started a new ongoing link party. It's just for sewing projects that are completed using instructions from a sewing book. This will be a great resource when it gets going.
Fluff 250This month's sew-along over at Hopeful Threads is sewing stuffed toys for children in foster care. Each month, Kristy co-ordinates a new project to help different groups from all over the world.
Cass Can SewCass Can Sew has a new Pinterest board that links directly to the tutorial pages of various blogs. Cass is an avid pinner, so you can bet this board will grow to link to a huge range of sewing blogs.
March's challenge over at Ricochet and Away! was to learn to use a new sewing machine foot and then to sew a project using that foot. Ten participants took up the challenge and now it's time to vote for your favourite.
Creative Sewing BlogThere's a two week series on using your fabric stash, over at Feather's Flights. Heather and guest bloggers will be talking about stash busting, using both fabric and pre-loved clothes. I'll be contributing on Friday, 19th April.

Crafty Cooks Apron Swap...

In March, I signed up for the Crafty Cooks Apron Swap, run by Fiona, from Celtic Thistle Stitches and Sam, from A Cup of Tea and a Slice of Cake. If you've been reading Threading My Way for a while, you may recall that I have said I don't cook, as Mr TMW does all the cooking, so you may wonder why I am participating in an apron swap. Well, I have started to cook again and my aim is to produce something edible once a week.

Sweet Pouch Swap...

Not so long ago, I took part in my first ever online swap... the Sweet Pouch Swap, over at Sew Delicious. I'm not sure why, but I liked the idea that the pouch I had made, would be travelling around the world to the U.S.. Carla left me a message to say that it had arrived safe and sound. Apparently, you can't get Life Saver Fruit Tingles over there, so Carla was very pleased I had included those.

Turning Woollen Garments into Felt...

When I made felt superhero masks, I mentioned that I was experimenting with turning woollen garments into felt. My experiments were successful. I've learnt a lot along the way, but I still have more experimenting to do and a lot more to learn.

Pillowcases for Kids...

I thought I'd show you some pillowcases I made last Christmas. I often use pillowcases instead of wrapping paper, but not this time. Because I often make pillowcases, I have pattern pieces cut to size, originally taken from measurements for the pillowcase tutorial by Flower Press.

Felt Masks...

When I wanted to make some felt masks, I headed straight for the Pretend Dress Up Clothes collection, here at Threading My Way. I found exactly what I was looking for... templates for superhero masks. Jessica, over at Cutesy Crafts, has done all the hard work, and has created templates for seven different superhero masks.

Sewing with Kids...

Walking through Spotlight not so long ago, I spied a Felt Sewing Kit for kids, suitable for ages 3 and up. It looked like it would be a good little project... easy to finish and everything included in the kit.
