Showcasing ~ Baby Clothes Memory Bear ~ Pattern & Tutorial

We all have those special items of baby and toddler clothes that we just can't bear to part with. Most end up packed away in a cupboard, where they can't be seen. Turn a sentimental garment into a memory bear, so it can be put on display and seen by all.

Lindsay, from PA Country Crafts, shows how to make a Baby Clothes Memory Bear, using either woven or knit fabric. The comprehensive tutorial begins with deconstructing the pre-loved garment. You can always practise with other fabric first if you are nervous about cutting into a cherished garment. There is a free pattern and step by step instructions to make a super cute little bear. Lindsay even made a tiny blanket so she could utilise the pocket from the original garment.

Or how about making a cushion from a special piece of clothing. I used the front of a much loved t-shirt as the feature on this fun cushion.

Lindsay added her memory bear to the Softies, Dolls & Toys link party. There are a few new links you may like to check out...

  6. Very cute little bear, great cushion too, I've never thought to feature clothes in a cushion like that, I'll be looking at out grown outfits in a different way now.
