A quick heads up on some sewing related happenings in November...
Spoonflower is organising two sewing days for those in the U.S. to support Softies for Mirabel. Spoonflower will have everything you need on hand to whip up some favourite cut-and-sew plushie patterns. Check out the details for sending in handmade toys as well.
Sewing Pillowcases & Puppets is the current sew-along to help others, over at Hopeful Threads. You can join Kristy sewing for her local children's hospital. Project runs till the end of November.
Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy is hosting a Mother - Son Sewing Series, running from November 10th - 14th. Join in by sewing your own mother - son creations.
Pimp Your Swimmers Contest - Take any element of the BOO! Design Your Own Swimmers and alter it in some way; add frills, appliqués, mash with elements from other patterns or your imagination. Open to Australian residents (not ACT)
The Handmade Holidays series, over at Sew Mama Sew, gives you lots of tutorials, printables and recipes to help you create a Handmade Holiday for every loved one on your list.
ONGOING charity projects...
The Fluff Project is all about making stuffed toys for children in foster care. What started as a monthly project, co-ordinated by Kristy, from Hopeful Threads, has now turned into an ongoing drive.
Days for Girls International: Feminine Hygiene Program... Every Girl. Everywhere. Period. Veronica, at SewVery, brought this one to my attention. Such easy projects we can sew to help these girls retain their dignity.
I imagine there'll be lots of festive season sewing happening during November. Time for me to make a start I think. What do you have planned for November?
... Pam
I'm planning on getting most of my Christmas sewing finished this month - I'm doing fairly well on my list, so I think it's doable. I also want to check out the Mother/Son sewing series - I have lots of boys to sew for so I'd love to find something new and fun to make for them :D
ReplyDeleteEarlier today, I clicked on a link in a gaming newsletter that promoted a straightforward casino concept, and I grabbed the plinko app download apk. Here in Malaysia, I value apps that don’t overwhelm me with endless menus or tutorial videos. This one had me dropping balls and placing bets within seconds of launch. The dynamic ball physics make every round feel fresh, and the real-money feature keeps me engaged without feeling like a slot hamster. After a few honest rounds, I even cashed out a small win, which arrived promptly in my account.
