30+ Handmade Gifts for Boys...

I don't know why, but I always find it harder to buy gifts for boys. The older they get, the harder it becomes, whether the gifts are handmade or store bought. I've spent much of today looking back at the projects added to the Softies, Dolls & Toys collection, here at Threading My Way. There are almost 200 ideas linked up, with many of them being suitable for boys. Today I've chosen to showcase 31 projects that can be sewn and given as presents to boys. Of course, many, if not all, are suitable for girls, too.

If you are looking to make something for a young man in your life, hopefully you now have a few more ideas. For additional inspiration, head on over to the Softies, Dolls & Toys link party.

When sewing for children, make sure that everything is sewn very securely, to ensure nothing comes undone or falls off. Be especially careful when sewing for young children and avoid small parts of any description. Common sense dictates that anything made for a child is age appropriate.

While She Naps is a great resource for sewing softies. Abby has lots of tutorials, free patterns and safety tips.

  7. What a great list of home made gifts, boys are sometimes incredibly difficult to buy for, luckily mine are all good at telling me what they want though.
