Peter Rabbit Doll Quilt ~ FMQ...

Log Cabin style Doll Quilt made entirely with scraps of fabric ~ Threading My Way

Last week I showed you my Free Motion Quilting (FMQ) on a doll quilt, which was made to match the fairy panel quilt. I've been practising FMQ on a second doll quilt, this time to match the Peter Rabbit quilt.

Once again, I've done a log cabin style quilt, made entirely from random width scraps of fabric. Even the batting is pieced together, using left over scraps.

This time I tried a rectangular shape for FMQ. As you would expect it's becoming easier with practice and thanks to my newly acquired quilting gloves. They really do make a difference!!! It only took two sittings to complete the FMQ for this little quilt.

I used binding left over from my Scrappy Blocks Quilt. Ha ha... I really miscalculated the binding on that quilt, as I still have quite a bit left.

I totally forgot to take a photo of the back of the quilt, so you'll just have to believe me when I say there's hardly any puckering on the back. I really am getting better at basting. I've used the same backing fabric as the original Peter Rabbit quilt.

This little mini quilt ended up at 18.5" x 19.5"...

  5. WOW! That's so adorable and your stitching is great. I love the binding fabric you chose. That dark color with it's simple pattern really set off the rest of the quilt.

Congratulations on your work Pam, I always like reading that there are people out there who are not yet perfect in their crafts. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

  26. I think you are really obsessed with his job because all the stuff here is quality-based. What is an India electronic visa? It is an electronic type of visa which is very popular in the travel industry. It is also known as a substitute of visa , this is a grant for foreigners to visit India.artificial grass
