Measuring just 11″ x 7″ x 4″ this little backpack is cute, yet roomy enough to be very useful. With adjustable straps and several pockets, this is a functional and practical bag.
Mayra, from So Sew Easy, shows how to make a small backpack, that can also be worn as a cross-over or cross body bag. In addition to the outside pocket, there are two more zippered pockets - one on the back and the other inside the bag. Due to the number of steps, the comprehensive tutorial is written in three parts, with a video tutorial as well. The pattern pieces are offered as a free PDF download.
Mayra added her backpack tutorial to the Bags & Totes link party. You might like to check out the following new links at the Bags & Totes linky...

ReplyDeleteThat looks so professional!
ReplyDeleteAnd how awesome would it be with brand new fun colourful school goodies tucked inside - a perfect gift! I just did Magic Pouches for my 3 neighbour kiddies and filled them with pencil crayons, fun erasers, post-it notes, a ruler, a small notebook, stickers, fancy gel pens and magnetic bookmarks - the mom couldn't get over the bags (a reaction I loved, I can assure you!) and the kids went crazy checking out all the goodies inside (YAY!) - you gotta love a positive reaction to a handmade gift :)
