Do you recognise the skirt? It's one I've made in denim before... the All Day Skirt by Lily Bird Studio. The first time I used the pattern, I used a printed, non-stretch denim with a small polka dot for the ruffle. This time, the denim is stretch and teamed with a Michael Miller polka dot. I love the combination of the denim with a full ruffle.
For a full pattern review and to see the minor modifications I made to the pattern, head on over to my first All Day Skirt.
The skirt has been teamed with a matching t-shirt, appliquéd by my daughter, Tash, from Little Ladybird. She's used another Michael Miller print for the appliqué.
Sewing an appliqué is a great way to jazz up a t-shirt. Have you ever tried appliqué? It's not that hard! If you'd like to learn how, follow the steps in the How to Appliqué a T-shirt Tutorial.
Like the outfit, but don't want to make it, you'll find it for sale, in both pink and teal, in sizes 1 -5.
