Seasons Greetings

Seasons Greetings from Australia ~ Threading My Way

There's been absolutely no sewing or blogging happening in recent times. I've featured and showcased several projects, as well as sometimes updating the Daily Free Tutorial over there in the sidebar, but that's about it.

After 3 stressful months in three different hospitals, Mum is finally back in her own home. It's been a long haul since she broke her hip, but she's made it.

I have no idea what's going on in blog land, not to mention there's a back log of comments to read and respond to. Once Christmas is over, I'll start answering emails and catch up on blog reading.

I've always said that I prefer blogs to social media - there's more substance to blogs. But in recent months, the little time I've spent online has mainly been on social media, in particular, Instagram. Perhaps that's because on Instagram I show mainly pictures of my garden - my happy place. And unlike a blog post, it's quick and easy to upload a photo.

This time of year means different things to different people. For me, it's all about family - a day with the most important people in my life.

We normally spend some time outdoors. This year the prediction is for a hot Christmas Day, so we'll have to get outside early

What we do during the day is not important - being together is.

Whether you celebrate in sweltering heat, or with snow falling outside, I hope you unwrap lots of joy, love, peace and laughter with the people who mean the most to you.

Seasons Greetings - Merry Christmas - Happy Hannukah

Here's hoping I can be more active on the blog next year. I've missed you all. See you in 2019...

... Pam

  4. Have a very Merry Christmas Pam and a wonderful New Year! Glad your Mum is doing better. We all go through tough times. You will return when you are ready to. Yes blogging takes more time, but we all get to know each other better than other social media too.

  8. I hope you had a Merry Christmas Pam! I've been terrible at reading blogs, all due to Instagram too but I miss it and have reinstalled Feedly on my phone so I can read them again! Looking forward to connecting through blogs more and glad you'll be back at it again :)

  9. I'm dropping by to wish you a Happy and productive 2019 Pam. I hear you on the social media thing. I have returned to full time work (I was headhunted and they made an offer I couldn't refuse), so my blogging time is severely cut as well. Insta is so easy, so go you I say! I love your blog, and it's a constant source of inspiration to me, so I hope you'll update us from time to time. Love, Mimi xxx
