I don't know about you, but my mobile phone goes almost everywhere with me. That doesn't mean I live on it - it's just there if I need it. Now if I was to take up jogging, or even walking, I'd want my mobile with me, but without the hassle of a large bag. And that's where today's showcased tutorial comes in - a light, small bag to clip around the waist.
Mayra, from So Sew Easy, shows how to make a running belt, which could easily double as a travel or money belt. It's small enough that you could easily cover it with a t-shirt, and no one would know it was there. Included with the detailed tutorial is free pattern.

HA it's the same for me - now that I've gotten used to having a cellphone and have more data to play with, I always have it with me, although I don't carry it in my hand like some people do --- I want to be connected, but not THAT connected! I take it with me when I walk and if I have on shorts or pants without pockets, it gets awkward. I carry an mp3 player (needs a pocket) and earphones, my cellphone (needs a pocket), and my house key (usually on a lanyard around my neck). If I wear my jeans shorts I have enough pockets, but some of my cotton print shorts are pocketless - then I've been carrying a small purse to hold stuff. Someone with a very extensive collection of zippers (ahem!) should have a specific bag (or bags) for walks! I've downloaded Mayra's pattern to study ... I may even have some (ahem!) fabric down in the dungeon that would work :D
