Another pillowcase, but this time for a family member. I was lucky enough to score this soft flannelette on sale some time ago. What I found unusual, was that the fabric was made exclusively for Jo-Ann fabric and craft stores, yet here it was on sale in a quilting shop in Australia.
Originally I thought I'd use it as a quilt backing, but I've cut into it now, so I'll have to find another backing. I am planning a robot quilt. Actually, I've been thinking about it since the beginning of the year... you can't rush these things.
I've purchased another robot flannelette that I might use for the robot quilt backing. It's a lovely pale blue, but not as nice as this one. There's just something about these bright colours that I like.
Once again, I've used the measurements in the pillowcase tutorial by Flower Press. Making a pillowcase is a quick and easy project and one that would be perfect for someone who is new to sewing.
This fun pillowcase will be joining the 100+ projects in the Pillows and Cushions link party here at Threading My Way.
