I just love receiving parcels from overseas. Often, by the time they arrive, I've forgotten all about them, so it's a pleasant surprise when the mail comes.
Today's parcel was no exception. Even though it only took a couple of weeks to arrive, I had forgotten all about my win from Izzy and Ivy Designs:
A paper pattern of Ruthie's Romper. Isn't it gorgeous... frills, bows and shirring. You know I love shirring!!!
Thanks so much Kristy, for hosting the giveaway, and Izzy & Ivy Designs, for the fabulous prize. Kristy has made up the pattern and done a review and Izzy and Ivy have done a remix of the pattern. Hmmm, which option to choose...
Come Summer time I'll decide.
Each month over at Hopeful Threads, Kristy begins a new project to help others. This month's project is sewing shorts for little boys over in Cambodia. All shorts will be sewn in support of the organisation Children in Families. As always, Kristy has organised prizes that will be won by some lucky sewists supporting this month's sew-along. I don't know what the prizes are yet, but with sponsors like Figgy's Patterns, Fat Quarter Shop, Fishstick Designs and Izzy & Ivy Designs, I'm hoping I'll win something!!!

Glad to hear that I am not the only one who has forgotten about a package by the time it arrives! This pattern is right up your alley, looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

ReplyDeleteTalking of packages arriving, I received a very special birthday package from my clever sister today. She publishes a blog called "Threading My Way", and she made me a beautiful bag in black, white and gold. It has 6 pockets (oh, the joy of pockets - one can never have too many) and a keyring tucked inside, and it's just gorgeous. I LOVE it! I'm so lucky and so grateful. Thanks, Pam!
