Peter Rabbit Quilt...

My third finished quilt!!! It's full of mistakes... sorry, things to improve next time, but I LOVE it!!! Actually, there are only three Peter Rabbits, so I probably should rename it to the Beatrix Potter quilt. I've always adored Beatrix Potter's books... the intricate drawings and imaginative stories, all packaged up in those cute, tiny books.

26 Sewing Related Link Parties...

Looking for places to show off your latest makes? Here is a list of 26 Sewing Related Link Parties ~ Threading My Way

Link parties are a great way to get your blog out there. They're also a good way to find interesting blogs and a way to meet like minded bloggers. If, like me, sewing is your main focus, you may find the following links helpful. Sewing is the main focus for all of the link parties featured in today's post.

Earlier this year, I wrote a post showing 20 sewing related link parties. A couple of those parties have stopped or are in another format. I've also found a few more sewing related link parties, so today's post is an update.

Op Shopping ~ Fashionable or Not?

Op Shops (Thrift Stores) have always been around, but it hasn't always been cool to frequent them. In days gone past, there was a certain stigma attached to Op Shops and buying second hand clothes. I cannot remember any negativity being associated with buying second hand books or furniture, for instance, but purchasing second hand clothes was another matter. If you could afford to buy clothes in a regular shop, then you didn't tend to frequent Op Shops.

New Additions to my Stash...

I SO don't need any new fabric. I'm fast running out of places to neatly store any more purchases. However, no matter how hard I try, the stash is growing, instead of decreasing, in size. On a recent holiday to the Mid North Coast region of N.S.W. I thought I was fairly safe from fabric shops. Little did I know, that tucked away, inside a quilty craft shop, was a little basket of fabric just waiting for me.

Petite Fille Dress...

It's been a while since I've done any sewing for Dress A Girl Around the World. Looking back through the blog, it was October last year when I made two Darling Daisy dresses. This time I've used the Petite Fille Style dress pattern, by Puperita.

Screen Printing with Saffron Craig...

Last week my daughter and I were lucky enough to attend a Screen Printing Workshop with Australian fabric designer, Saffron Craig. I was wanting to explore the process of screen printing and I've long admired Saffron's beautiful fabrics, so the workshop sounded perfect.

Ten Electronic Gadget Cover Tutorials...

Electronic gadgets... things that didn't exist when I was a kid. Today they're a part of everyday life; mobile phones (cell phones), iPads, digital cameras, iPods, Sat Navs, eReaders, etc. Each device need cables and a charging device, so it's handy to have something to keep all the bits and pieces together, as well as a protective cover of some sort for the device itself.

Adding Piping to a Pillowcase...

In January I purchased some fun pirate prints at Material Obsession, in Drummoyne (Sydney). They were 25% off and I just couldn't resist. At the time, I thought that perhaps I'd turn the fabric into pillowcases and that's just what I ended up doing.

Drawstring Shoulder Bag Tutorial...

How to make a Drawstring Shoulder Bag ~ tutorial by Threading My Way

I don't go anywhere without a handbag. I have several, mainly black and in different styles and sizes, but none are particularly large. If I have a lot to carry, I like to have a lightweight fabric bag in addition to my handbag. Today I'll show you how to make a drawstring bag that you can carry on your shoulder, together with your handbag.

Lace Motif...

After my relaxing beach holiday, I was lucky enough to attend the three day Autumn Quilting Triple Treat at Blackheath, in the Blue Mountains, NSW. Run by Anne Sommerlad Designs, the event ran seamlessly, with 65 ladies from all over Australia attending. My good friend, Robyn, and I drove up each day, giving us a chance to catch up and chat on the way.
