It's already the start of the New Year on the east coast of Australia.

Whether you're seeing out the last of 2019, or welcoming in the New Year, I wish you all a happy and healthy 2020. Here's hoping it includes lots of sewing.

Happy New Year to you too. Hoping for a great year. Also hoping your home is safe from the many fires we are seeing across your country.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your concern, Joy. We are close enough to have burnt leaves and ash falling at times, but far enough away that we haven't experienced or seen fires. We live with constant smoke - at times it has been 11 times hazardous level for us. It's MUCH, MUCH worse in other areas. In my state alone - NSW - several lives have been lost and over 1200 homes have been destroyed, not to mention the loss of wildlife. I have no idea what the figures are for the whole of Australia, but the fires are country wide. Never in my whole life, have we experienced fires as widespread, or over such a long time period, as these.
DeleteThanks for update. Glad you & property are safe but so sorry you are enduring the loss in your country and you're going through that experience.

Hope everything is ok with you and your family and friends, Pam. The fires sound absolutely awful. Hugs xx
