I hate to admit it, but I don't have a cover for my sewing machine - not unless you count a tea towel draped over the top. Hmmm - it's about time I got my act together and whipped one up. Read on for today's showcased project, if like me, you are in need of a sewing machine cover.
Diana, from Plum and Petal Sews, shows how to make a quilted sewing machine cover, from fabric she had on hand paired with a gingham shirt. What a great combination of fabrics. Check out the tutorial to see how you can make one, too.
Thank you Pam for sharing my post!! I'm so glad you enjoyed viewing my project. It was easy and fun to make! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI love this! The fabric is perfect for it too!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Shirley! It was fun mixing fabrics, it makes it so much more colorful. Have a wonderful day!
DeleteGreat idea. Hadn’t thought about it until now. Added bonus, I’m going to buy some fabric with writing which I looove but can never think of a use. As you know, I rarely buy for a stash
ReplyDeleteYou know I have a thing for text fabric - can't beat it!!!
DeleteThank you Mrsf! I had that little piece of text fabric so long, I didn't know what to do with it. I saw posts on sewing machine cozies and thought it was just right for covering the machine!
DeleteI agree Pam, text fabric is so cute. I was almost going to make a wall hanging out of that piece!
