Today's showcased tutorial is a play mat, complete with roads, zoo, garage, hospital, park and houses. When not in use, it folds up into a drawstring storage bag, with room for lots of matchbox cars.
Vicky, from Vicky Myers Creations, shows how to make her Drawstring Car Play Mat. The features on the play mat are created using a combination of fabric paint and appliqué. Personalise the mat for your child by adding locations that your child enjoys visiting. The kids could even help design the scene.

So many fun ideas for boys now - I sure could have used this when my kids were little - the Hot Wheels pretty much took over the floor in more than one room!
