About

Hi, I'm Pam, from NSW, Australia. Welcome to Threading My Way, where I combine my love of sewing and blogging.

I've been sewing for a long time and love to pass on the skills that I have acquired over the years. I regularly write step by step tutorials, showing how you can make:

Collecting beautiful fabric has become a bit of an obsession, so you'll see a wide variety of fabrics, both old and new, in the projects I make.

As well as working with new fabric, I like to refashion pre-loved clothing into new items, both to wear and to decorate our home. One such project was making a fabric basket from the leg of a pair of jeans  Not only is refashioning the way to go environmentally, it also saves money.

As a former Primary School teacher, helping others to learn is part of who I am. Hence my love of passing on the sewing tips & techniques that I use in my own varied sewing projects.

I love to see the items my readers make. Threading YOUR Way with Threading My Way is a series of ongoing, sewing related link parties, where you can add your sewing projects at any time, enabling my readers to also see your work.

In a past life, I was responsible for setting up a few Mac servers and maintaining a network of 150+ computers. Although my knowledge of blogging is not in the same league, I am enjoying learning the technical side of things. Every now and then I share simple blog tips which may help if you have your own blog.

In recent times, I've added quilting to my repertoire. It's early days yet, but I can safely say that I am hooked!

I'm glad you've stopped by and look forward to hearing from you. I post new topics here on the blog, roughly 3 - 4 times a week. You can stay up to date with Threading My Way in a variety of ways, via the buttons below.

  1. Hi Pam,
I am looking for a pattern for a U-shaped rice pack. My husband suffers from neck pain and I have been wanting to make one for him. Since I am not creative enough to design one myself, could you point me in the right direction? Love your website! I spend hours looking through it.

  3. I found your site when I was looking for instructions to make a little lineddrawstring bag. I used your instructions to make a small, satiny version to hold a ring I'm giving as a gift. I was delighted with the result and want to thank you for your generous sharing.

    1. Satin fabric is a great choice for a gift bag to hold jewellery, Lynn. I'd love to see a photo. Thanks for taking the time to let me know.
