Showcasing ~ Versatile Scrappy Quilt Block ~ Tutorial

I'm always on the lookout for easy quilt blocks - something that sews up really quickly. Makes me feel I've achieved a lot in a small space of time.

Learn how to make a versatile, scrappy lap quilt. Tutorial by Runnstitch.

Kathi, from Runnstitch, shows how to make a quilt block that combines light, medium and dark fabrics. Included in the tutorial are fabric amounts and cutting instructions to make a 36" x 36" lap quilt. The photo above shows one layout. Check out the tutorial to see other combinations for this versatile block.

Like Kathi, you can whip up a quilt top with a favourite fabric collection, or get creative with scraps from the stash.

Kathi's quilt blocks were added to the Quilting & Patchwork link party. You might like to check out the following quilt block tutorials at the Quilting & Patchwork linky...

  1. This quilt top doesn't look as if it would be quick and easy to piece. Love the fabrics you used. This is fabulous.
