Showcasing ~ Gift Wrapping Idea ~ Brown Paper Stockings

Today's showcased idea is definitely a case of less is more - simple gift wrapping that looks great and is so easy to do.

Make a Christmas stocking from brown paper ~ Tutorial by Joy's Jots, Shots & Whatnots

Joy, from Joy's Jots, Shots & Whatnots, shows us her brown paper Christmas stockings, made from postal wrapping paper. You could just as easily use Kraft paper, or even brown paper bags. I have a stash of brown paper bags just waiting to be used as Christmas wrapping. Joy has provided a template so you can make your own Christmas stockings.

Joy added her paper Christmas stockings to both the Gift Wrapping link party and the 12 Days of Christmas Challenges Gift Wrapping link party. You might like to check out the following links at the Gift Wrapping linky...

  1. Thank-you for the feature. Glad you like them. The paper bag idea is great. I think we can still ask for them here, but never think about it. I should start asking when I forget my cloth bags.

  2. I actually love making handmade wrapping too, especially when I can reuse things like brown paper or fabric scraps. Around last December, I got really into DIY, but I also needed something to just unwind in between all the crafting. That’s when I stumbled on spin mama, and it totally filled that gap. I’d play a few rounds after finishing a batch of tags or gift bags — it was the perfect reset. Kept me sane during the whole holiday chaos and gave me a fun little break that didn’t involve glitter or glue.
