It's all about denim this week at Threading My Way - repairing them or refashioning them into something new. This skirt, with its original design, is the perfect way to give pre-loved jeans a new lease of life.
Linda, from Sewing Bee Fabrics, shows how to turn two pairs of contrasting jeans into a striped, Summer skirt. Use blue denim with a lighter colour, as Linda has, or, for a different effect, add multiple colours of jeans.
The tutorial shows how to make your own pattern, then gives step by step instructions for laying out your strips and sewing them together.
