Today is Day One on the Everyday Tank Top Blog Tour and I'm pleased to be showing you the tank top I sewed using the Everyday Tank: Top and Dresses pattern, by Serger Pepper. I was given a copy of the pattern to participate in the blog tour. Summer is fast approaching here in Australia, so no pattern hacks for me. The pattern is perfect without any alterations.

Little Miss wholeheartedly approves of her new top. If she's not keen on a new garment, it's always taken off as soon as the photo shoot is over. Not so this top. We had a family do that day and she left the top on for a few hours.
The Everyday Tank Top has met the clothing requirements for Little Miss...
- it's comfortable
- the fabric choice is spot on
- the design is to her liking

Her Mum and I both love the top too...
- it fits well
- it's easy to put on and take off
- it looks so, very cute
The side panels not only look good and add interest, but their addition means that small pieces of fabric can be used. I was lucky enough to have this fabric in my stash.

As well as a tank top, the pattern can also be used to make either a midi or a maxi dress. The Everyday Tank is super quick and easy to sew. It's a great pattern and one I can see me using over and over, especially given that the size range is from 3 years to 14 years.
When I make the next Everyday Tank, I'll write up a complete pattern review.

If you buy the pattern using the BLOGTOUR40 coupon code and subsequently win a copy via the current giveaway, you will have the choice of another pattern or a $10 coupon code for a future purchase (expiring by the end of the next year, 2015).
The Everyday Tank: Top and Dresses blog tour runs for the rest of the week. I've seen a few sneak peeks of some awesome garments, including tanks with added sleeves and hoods. I believe there will be a couple of tutorials on how the pattern has been modified.

Love this tank. The length is great, the neckline is modest and the armholes are high. All in all everything to look for in a little girls tank top. Great review. Congrats to Irene! Looks like a good staple.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty!!!! You picked lovely fabrics - love how it turned out!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Bethany. I was lucky these fabrics were in my stash. The floral I picked up super cheaply somewhere.
DeleteLove the pop of yellow to match the flower print!
ReplyDeleteOh Pam, this is such a cute top! I love the photo of Grandma kissing Little Miss. The fabrics make this so sweet.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really great looking pattern!
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics combo Pam :) Perfect for summer. I too take it as a huge compliment when LM refuses to take a new outfit of after a photo-shoot :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Love the daisy print!
ReplyDeleteLove your fabrics, too. Now if I could figure out how to make my serger stop lettucing the knits, I'd love to try this one.
ReplyDeleteYour top is making me miss warmer weather even more! Just a few days ago, it turned really cold here (hence the reason my daughter is wearing a long-sleeve shirt under her tank)! I love the fact that this tank uses scrap knits, too. Beautiful job as usual, Pam!
ReplyDeleteThat's a really cute top - I love the combination of the 3 fabrics, but the daisy fabric is a slam dunk!
ReplyDeleteVery cute fabric combo, Pam! The fit seems perfect and I do love the modest coverage too.
ReplyDeleteThe top is very cute! I like how the pattern has side panels. It's a great way to use up leftover yardage.
ReplyDeleteLovely top, you did a great job Pam :)
