Little, and not so little girls love the all important twirl factor of a circle skirt. There's a problem with directional fabrics and circle skirts, however - the print will end up being upside down at the back. Today's showcased tutorial shows how to overcome that problem to successfully make a circle skirt using directional fabric, with the added bonus of being able to use smaller cuts of fabric.
Lisa, from Cucicucicoo Ecological Living, shows how to use directional fabric to make a circle skirt. The free pattern and tutorial will step you through the process so you can make your own circle skirt.
Thank you so much for the feature, Pam! I have to say that I'm looking at my own picture enviously, because we're no longer in the season to wear skirts with bare legs underneath! ;) Lisa

ReplyDeleteI’ve always loved sewing projects, especially when they come with clever tricks like this tutorial for making circle skirts with directional fabric. The way it solves the upside-down print issue is pretty smart, and using smaller fabric cuts makes it even more practical. It reminded me how patience and creativity pay off. By the way, I recently found lucky star, which offers some fun games and bonuses for players from India — a nice way to relax after crafting.
