Showcasing ~ Felt Pocket Kitty Cat ~ Free Pattern

Today's showcased pattern is a super cute softie that's the perfect size for toddlers to carry around, and to slip into their pockets. Isn't the heart face adorable!

Make a felt kitty cat pocket toy with the free pattern and tutorial by Swoodson Says.

Stephanie, from Swoodson Says, shows how to make her Felt Pocket Kitty Cat. A template is provided for the cat outline, the heart shaped face and the facial details. It's all easy hand sewing, so a relaxing activity to do in front of the TV one night.

The little kitty cats end up at only 1½" tall, so they are not suitable for children under 3 years of age.

I think this would be a wonderful project for a slightly older child to sew themselves. Make up a kit with all the supplies included and the felt already cut out. Pop the lot in a drawstring bag (you may have to alter the dimensions), and you have a ready made gift - so much nicer than many store bought kits.

Stephanie added her pocket kitty cat to the Softies, Dolls & Toys link party. You might like to check out the following projects at the Softies, Dolls & Toys linky...

  1. It looks like it would be the perfect size for a finger puppet too :D

  2. The psychological need to hunt is more obvious, but in Asia, people with skin tones are also starting to optimize the face shape of inflatables. Thus, a weird-looking inflatable custom sex dolls was born, and it comes with a low price tag.
