For the mustard - how about a little girl's dress instead of pants, something quite simple, tunic dress or pinafore, something like that and with a bright, pretty applique on there to liven up the colour? Hard to tell exactly how mustardy it is on screen, it looks kind of beachy coloured on my monitor so I was thinking star fish, baby turtles or shells or some other beach themed applique? But if it's more mustard then maybe some flowers, or possibly a bee and a bit of hexie machine embroidery (if it's honey like mustard!) or possibly some fruit - a pear perhaps? The cat fabric is definitely saying Halloween to me - possibly treat bags? And for a coat pattern - I've just discovered https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/BigLittle, really cute and not too tricky patterns with wool - hats, scarves, mini boots and some really lovely coats. I love the coats on children, but there is also a version of the pixie hood coat for grown ups. And there's a pattern for a grown up cape about to be released (children's cape patterns already there). They have a FB page where you can see more too - https://www.facebook.com/groups/522332691240127/. Look forward to seeing what you do with it all.Wonky Patchworkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13877163026017340681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035755590833291625.post-3686484828006688902015-08-27T02:27:58.018+10:002015-08-27T02:27:58.018+10:00You got a treasure from your friend:) I think you ...You got a treasure from your friend:) I think you can use the mustard thick fabric for bed spread or table cloth decorating with some fabric or crochet appliqué and add some lace etc. For cat fabric you may either use as a lining for bags or make cosmetics/accessory pouches if you want to display the print.Preetihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14719450107640709790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035755590833291625.post-34790674084118707462015-08-27T02:05:43.255+10:002015-08-27T02:05:43.255+10:00You sure have a great friend! The cat print is so fun, and it will make a cute shiny dress for a little girl. Or if you are making the jacket in a kid size, it will be fun to use that as the lining!Anniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08124526527626856088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035755590833291625.post-36580906972264481762015-08-26T11:03:31.119+10:002015-08-26T11:03:31.119+10:00check out sew serendipity, she has cute patterns f...check out sew serendipity, she has cute patterns for jackets.
