Victoria, from As It Seams, is hosting her first guest series, Take One Dress. Each month, one guest blogger and those sewing along, will create a dress inspired by a dress shown the previous month. Thanks, Jenya, for reminding me about this one.

Are you motivated by sew-alongs and challenges, or do you prefer to do your own thing?

  3. What fun links! Maybe I can join the one about quilting. I am currently participating in "Sew Our Stash" encouraging participants to sew one wearable for themselves each month. Any goal seems easier when you attempt it with a group of friends! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures

  4. I was planning on joining the Ho Ho Ho sewalong but didn't get a Christmas present done in January - I had the supplies, but worked on other things instead! That's one I definitely want to get cracking on. I'm going to watch the Little Things to Sew one as I have the book and have only made one pattern from it - I love seeing how other people interpret patterns - they seem to come up with fun versions that I wouldn't have thought of! Fearless Sewing is one I better check out too - I don't know why I'm so nervous about trying new patterns - I like to buy them, but I'm scared to start them, lol. Of course that means I also need to check into the Craft Book Sew Along :D

Definitely file me under the "gets motivated by sew alongs" category - I opened a new browser page for each of the ones I listed so I can peek at them, LOL!
