Embroidered Drawstring Bag...

Here's another project I sewed when I was in Primary School (roughly ages 8 - 11). I thought I had previously found all of my school sewing that was hiding in cupboards, but this little embroidered drawstring bag surfaced not so long ago. It's completely sewn by hand.

No Guts Boxie Pouch...

This bag is a prototype for a project one of my sons and I are working on. I've made plenty of fabric basketsdrawstring bags. tote bags and even Easter baskets, all with boxed corners, but I've never combined boxed corners with a zip.

Ruffled Nappy Cover...

When, Ros, from Sew Delicious, made her ruffled nappy cover last year, I just had to buy the pattern, even though I didn't have anyone to sew it for. As luck would have it, a friend has recently had a little girl and now I can justify making the purchase.

Threading Your Way ~ Features ~ PDF Pattern Reviews

In the near future, I'll be making a dress for a little one that's just been born. I'm thinking of making a size 1 and am on the lookout for suitable PDF dress patterns. I have a few already purchased that will fit the bill, but thought I'd look around and see what else is available.

One obvious place to look for PDF pattern reviews, is in the Girls' Dresses Link Party, here on Threading My Way. There are 270 dresses linked up and I know there are lots of pattern reviews amongst them.

Christine's blog contains a wealth of information about making bags.

Fixing a Hole in Suit Pants...

What do you do when you are presented with a good pair of suit pants sporting a rather large hole in the crotch? Not only is there a huge hole, on the other side of the seam the fabric is wearing VERY thin. YIKES!!!

Bits and Pieces...

Congrats on winning the GOLD!Do you remember the Curved Seams Dress I made in January? That dress has earned me the gold winner's badge and bragging rights, so I'm proudly displaying my badge.

Kite Bag...

I made this kite bag last year, for Christmas. It's a simple, unlined, drawstring bag that was so quick and easy to make. Recently I borrowed the bag back to take these photos, as I ran out of time when I was making it. I would have loved to have done a tutorial, but in my mad rush sewing for Christmas, there was no time for taking photos along the way.
