Library Bag with Book Titles...

This is the 5th post in the Library Bag Tutorial series. Today I'm showing you my bag with book titles, made using the Library Bag with contrasting fabrics tutorial.

Just after Christmas, Cindy, from Siestas and Sewing, showed us the Library Bag she made for her Mum, using selvedges as book titles. I loved the idea... very effective, without being too difficult. Inspired by Cindy's bag, I've appliquéd books to my latest Library bag.

If you would like to make the library bag above, follow the tutorial to make a Library bag with contrasting fabrics, appliquéing the book titles to the fabric before the Library bag is sewn. Follow the links in Cindy's post, to see how the book titles are appliquéd.

This Library bag, with a book inside, has already been sent on its way, to be distributed to disadvantaged children in Sydney, along with the rest of the bags:
To finish off the series, I'll do a round up post with lots of links to different styles of library bags.
